成田国際空港はまたNARITAとして知られ、東京都心から東へ約60kmの千葉県成田市にあります。当初、NARITAは日本国政府によって建設され、新東京国際空港という名称で1978年5月20日に開港しました。首都圏にあり、羽田空港と共に日本を代表する空の玄関口です。開港以来定着してきた成田国際空港という呼称に、2004年4月1日正式に改名されました。また同時に民営化され、成田国際空港株式会社（NAA） がその管理を日本国政府から引き継ぎました。NARITAには、24時間オープンの3ターミナルと、6時から24時まで運用可能な2本の滑走路があります。滑走路 A は4,000m(13,123ft)の長さで、1978年開港時にターミナル１側に建設されました。滑走路 B は2,500mの長さで、2009年にターミナル2側に完成しました。NARITAは2019年国際線旅客数約3,670万人、国際貨物量約204万トンを記録する日本最大級の国際空港です。そして、日本航空・全日本空輸・日本貨物航空・ジェットスタージャパン・Peach Aviation・春秋航空日本・ZIPAIR Tokyoの拠点空港です。
Narita International Airport, also known as NARITA (IATA;NRT) lies about 60km east of central Tokyo in Narita-city, Chiba-prefecture. NARITA, was built by the Japanese Government and named New Tokyo International Airport at the beginning, opened on May 20,1978. It has been serving the Greater Tokyo Metropolitan Area of Japan with Haneda Airport. On April 1, 2004, New Tokyo International Airport was officially renamed Narita International Airport, reflecting its popular designation since its opening. The airport was also moved from government control to the authority of a new Narita International Airport Corporation, usually abbreviated to "NAA". There are three terminals set up a 24 hour system and two runways used from 6:00 to 24:00. The Runway A, 4,000m (13,123ft) in length sided with Terminal 1, was completed upon the airport's opening in 1978. The Runway B, 2,500m (8,202ft) in length sided with Terminal 2, was completed in 2007. NARITA was the busiest airport in Japan by 36.7 million international passengers and 2.04 million tons of international cargo in 2019. And it serves as the main international hub of Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Nippon Cargo Airlines, Jetstar Japan, Peach Aviation, Spring Airlines Japan and ZIPAIR Tokyo.
