Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art


You'll get to this museum after going through the woods.

Unfortunately, the museum is now closed due to the renovations, but it's going to reopen July 2.

You can however enjoy walking grounds and gardens freely and having a cup of coffee or meals at a restaurant.

A masterpiece of "Portrait of a Man in a Broad brimmed Hat" by Rembrandt Van Rijn will greet you right after you go into this museum.

The collections have wide range of media and periods from sculptures to oil paintings.

It houses works from Impressionism:Monet and Renoir, to Ecole de Paris:Picasso,Matisse and Shagall.

It houses works of 20th Century European Art:Kandinsky,Ernst and Magritte and of American Art:Pollock, Rothko, Louis, Twombly and Andy Warhol.

You will be satisfied with the perfect harmony of art works and nature.

It takes thirty minutes by train and 20 minutes by bus, from Narita International Airport.

The shuttle bus services from Tokyo Station are now suspended.
